Grand Rapids, MI – A freeze warning is in effect for Western Michigan starting at midnight Monday through 9 a.m. Tuesday. Residents in areas such as Muskegon, Ottawa, and Kent counties are advised to prepare for temperatures dipping into the upper 20s and low 30s.
According to the National Weather Service, these cold temperatures could damage crops and outdoor plumbing. Frost and freeze conditions are expected to form overnight, putting sensitive vegetation at risk.
Those with agricultural interests or home gardens should protect plants by bringing them indoors or covering them. The freeze warning will last until early Tuesday morning.
