Drivers in the region are urged to exercise caution, as visibility may drop below one mile in some areas. The fog is expected to persist through 9 a.m., making morning commutes potentially hazardous.

According to the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, the fog is primarily affecting southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana, with the advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Motorists are advised to slow down, use low beam headlights, and maintain extra stopping distance when driving through foggy conditions.

After the fog clears, sunny skies and warm temperatures are forecast for the rest of Wednesday, with highs expected to reach around 85°F. Winds will be light, providing ideal weather for outdoor activities later in the day.

Looking ahead, Thursday brings similarly pleasant conditions, with temperatures ranging from 80°F to 88°F. Clear skies will dominate, and no rain is expected, offering a warm and dry day for the region. Thursday morning will start off cool, with lows between 53°F and 63°F, gradually warming up as the day progresses.

The weekend promises more of the same, with temperatures peaking at 90°F on Saturday and remaining in the high 80s through Sunday.
