Medford, OR – The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains, in effect from 11 a.m. Saturday through 5 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2025.
According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected above 4,500 feet, with total accumulations ranging from 6 to 16 inches, and up to 20 inches possible above 6,000 feet. Winds may gust as high as 60 mph over ridges and exposed terrain.
The advisory includes Crater Lake National Park, Crescent Lake, and Diamond Lake, along with major passes such as Willamette Pass (Highway 58) and Diamond Lake Junction on Highways 230 and 138.
Forecasters warn that travel may become very difficult to impossible, especially at higher elevations. Whiteout conditions are possible during heavier snow bursts, and strong winds could cause tree damage and blowing snow.
