The dry pattern should keep travel conditions favorable across Interstate 81, Interstate 86, Route 17 and Route 11, but the increasing heat may affect anyone working outdoors or spending extended time in the sun. Parks, athletic fields, construction sites and community events across Binghamton, Johnson City, Endicott, Vestal and Chenango Bridge will feel significantly warmer during the afternoon hours.
While widespread severe weather remains focused over portions of the Plains and Midwest, forecasters continue monitoring the broader weather pattern as it gradually shifts east. No organized thunderstorms are expected locally through midweek, but residents should remain weather-aware as isolated showers return later in the week. There is no significant tornado threat for the Binghamton area during this period.
