Boston, MA – Southern New England is bracing for severe thunderstorms today, with the National Weather Service issuing warnings for the region. The highest risk period for these storms is from noon to 9 PM.

Forecasters warn that the storms could bring damaging winds and large hail, posing significant risks to the area. Residents are urged to take precautions, including securing outdoor objects and staying indoors during the storm’s peak. Heavy rainfall is also expected, which could lead to localized flooding, further complicating travel and outdoor activities.

Tuesday offers a break from the severe weather, with sunny skies and temperatures reaching 81°F. However, the relief will be short-lived. By Wednesday, temperatures are expected to spike to 88°F, and another round of thunderstorms could bring more dangerous conditions in the afternoon.

The latter part of the week will see cooler temperatures and calmer weather. Thursday and Friday are expected to be sunny, with highs in the low 70s. Another round of rain is possible on Saturday, with temperatures staying in the upper 70s.

Residents should stay alert today, as the severe storms could bring large hail and damaging winds across much of New England.
