Southern Kentucky Braces for Weekend Storms Amid Rising Temperatures

Louisville, KY – Southern Kentucky residents should prepare for a wet and warm weekend as storm activity is expected to return from Saturday through Monday. The National Weather Service (NWS) Louisville forecasts comfortable temperatures and dry conditions for today, with highs ranging from 80 to 85 degrees under partly sunny skies.

According to the NWS Louisville, storm chances will gradually increase beginning Saturday. Temperatures will climb to between 83 and 88 degrees, with scattered storms primarily affecting southern Kentucky. Sunday will see a continuation of these stormy conditions, with temperatures rising further to 84-89 degrees.

The storm activity is expected to peak on Monday, with widespread storms likely throughout the day. Highs will range from 81 to 86 degrees. The weather pattern will bring a mix of sunshine and stormy conditions, creating a dynamic and potentially hazardous environment.

Beyond the weekend, the forecast shows a likelihood of additional storms on Tuesday, with temperatures remaining in the low 80s. By midweek, conditions are expected to stabilize slightly, with temperatures hovering in the mid-80s and lower chances of rain.
