Pueblo, CO – A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for several southern Colorado counties on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 9 AM to 8 PM MDT. The National Weather Service issued the alert due to a dangerous combination of gusty winds, low humidity, and warm temperatures.

According to the NWS, affected areas include Fremont County, San Luis Valley, Southern Front Range, Southern El Paso County, Pueblo County, Huerfano County, and Western Las Animas County. Winds are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Relative humidity will drop as low as 7%, creating ideal conditions for rapid fire spread.
