Detroit, MI – Southeastern Michigan residents should prepare for continued stormy weather as pop-up thunderstorms and rain are expected to persist through mid-week. A cold front stalling over the northern parts of the forecast area today has brought a low chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly north of I-69.

According to the US National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac, scattered showers and thunderstorms are anticipated to develop this afternoon, with temperatures ranging from 77 to 84 degrees. These conditions are set to continue into Monday and Tuesday, with partly sunny skies and afternoon showers expected.

By Wednesday, a more organized thunderstorm system is likely to move into the area. Highs will range from 79 to 84 degrees, with lows between 63 and 67 degrees.

The weather pattern is forecast to calm slightly by Thursday, although isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms may still occur. Temperatures will remain seasonable, with highs from 76 to 81 degrees and lows between 59 and 65 degrees.
