Southeastern Michigan Braces for 1” Hail, 60+ mph Winds, Weekend Outlook

Detroit, MI – Southeastern Michigan residents are urged to prepare for potential severe weather today, including 1-inch hail and winds exceeding 60 mph. The National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac has issued a marginal risk alert for isolated severe thunderstorms expected between 4-10 p.m., moving west to east at around 40 mph.

Today’s temperatures will be in the lower to mid-80s, with cooler conditions forecasted for Saturday. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 70s, with scattered showers or thunderstorms possible late in the day. By Sunday, mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the lower to mid-80s are anticipated.

For the Fourth of July weekend, Friday will see highs in the mid-80s with a chance of showers or thunderstorms. Saturday will be cooler, while Sunday will be mostly sunny and dry, ideal for outdoor activities.
