Wilmington, OH – Ohioans can expect another summer-like day as temperatures rise across the state, accompanied by possible showers and thunderstorms.

According to the US National Weather Service in Wilmington, Friday’s high temperatures are predicted to range between 85 and 88 degrees Fahrenheit across central and southern Ohio. While most of the state will experience dry conditions, showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop later in the day, especially in the central regions.

The National Weather Service forecasts a 50% chance of precipitation, primarily in the afternoon and early evening. Residents are advised to carry umbrellas and be prepared for sudden weather changes. Cloudy conditions will dominate the skies from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m., with drizzle expected around 4 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to remain warm, with highs in the low to mid-80s, and clear skies providing a pleasant weekend outlook.

Additionally, there is an air quality advisory for parts of northern Ohio, including Cleveland. According to AirNow, the Air Quality Index (AQI) for PM2.5 particles is at 125, deemed unhealthy for sensitive groups such as individuals with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children. Those in affected areas should limit strenuous outdoor activities and monitor air quality updates.

Despite the advisory, most of Ohio remains in the clear with good air quality levels. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the weather and take necessary precautions for both heat and potential air quality issues.
