Houston, Texas – Southeast Texas is settling into a stretch of calm, dry weather, with sunny skies and seasonably mild temperatures expected Thursday before a noticeable warming trend takes hold heading into the weekend and early next week.
According to the National Weather Service Houston-Galveston, tonight remains clear and cool with inland lows dropping into the mid to upper 30s, while urban areas and the coast hold closer to the low and mid-40s. Winds ease overnight, helping temperatures fall quickly after sunset.
Thursday brings a bright and comfortable day across the region. Highs will reach the lower to mid-60s from Houston to College Station, with slightly cooler readings along the immediate coast near Galveston. Winds stay light, generally under 10 mph, making for ideal outdoor conditions.
Warmer air begins moving in Friday and continues building through early next week. Highs climb into the 70s area-wide, with overnight lows steadily rising into the 50s and lower 60s as humidity levels increase. Despite the warming trend, rain chances remain minimal across Southeast Texas for at least the next seven days, including along the I-10 corridor, Brazos Valley, and coastal counties.
The quiet pattern offers several days of dry weather, though residents should be prepared for a more humid feel as temperatures continue to rise into early next week. The National Weather Service notes that forecast updates will continue as humidity and temperature trends evolve.
