Detroit, MI – Snow will move through southeast Michigan late tonight, but a much-needed warmup is set to arrive this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, light snow is expected overnight into Thursday morning, with minor accumulations under half an inch. Wind chills could reach -10°F overnight, making it dangerous to be outside for extended periods.
Thursday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 23°F. A gradual warming trend starts Friday, with temperatures climbing into the upper 20s. By Sunday, highs could reach the mid-30s, providing a brief break from the bitter cold.
Looking into next week, rain and snow may return Monday, but temperatures will continue to rise, possibly nearing 40°F by Tuesday. Residents should remain cautious of icy conditions overnight but can anticipate milder weather by the weekend.
