Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan residents should prepare for a continuation of warm, hazy sunshine as high pressure over the Great Lakes holds steady. The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures in the mid-80s with dry, clear conditions extending into next week.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach 86 degrees, with Friday through Sunday bringing highs in the low-to-mid 80s. Nights will be slightly cooler, ranging from 59 to 64 degrees. These extended dry conditions may increase fire risk, so residents are urged to avoid open flames and stay hydrated.

Friday and Saturday are expected to be mostly sunny, making outdoor activities ideal, but take precautions against the heat. Temperatures will remain high through Sunday with a mix of clouds. If heading outdoors, consider wearing sunscreen and staying in the shade during peak hours.
