South Wilmington, IL – A mobile food pantry will be available to residents of South Wilmington on Monday, October 21. Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Joliet is organizing the event to assist local families in need.

According to Catholic Charities, the pantry will be set up at St. Lawrence Church, located at 165 Rice Rd. It will operate from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Residents can collect free groceries, including essential items like canned goods, fresh produce, and bread.

The mobile food pantry is designed to reach those who might not have regular access to transportation or nearby grocery stores. The initiative aims to alleviate food insecurity in the area and support households facing economic challenges.

The event is open to the public, with no pre-registration required. Those attending are encouraged to bring reusable bags to carry their groceries. Catholic Charities runs this mobile pantry as part of its broader efforts to serve underprivileged communities across the Diocese of Joliet.
