Miami, Florida – South Florida is starting the week under partly to mostly cloudy skies, with scattered showers moving through the region at times Monday, especially along the east coast metro areas.
According to the National Weather Service in Miami, occasional showers are expected across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties through the day. While rainfall will be hit-or-miss, brief showers could dampen roads during the morning and afternoon, particularly near coastal communities from Miami to Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
Despite the clouds and showers, temperatures will remain warm for mid-January. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the mid to upper 70s across much of South Florida, with forecast highs near 78 degrees in Miami, 77 in Fort Lauderdale, 75 in West Palm Beach, and around 79 degrees in Naples. Humidity levels will stay moderate, keeping conditions comfortable overall.
No severe weather is expected, but drivers should remain alert for slick spots during passing showers, especially during peak travel times. Outdoor plans may need brief adjustments, though long periods of rain are not anticipated.
Cloudy conditions and occasional showers may linger into tonight before gradually diminishing. Forecasters note that typical January warmth will continue across the region, with additional updates issued if shower coverage becomes more widespread or persistent.
