According to the NWS, scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the day, especially over the interior and Gulf Coast areas. Temperatures across the region are forecast to remain in the low-to-mid 90s, with cities like Miami and Fort Lauderdale expected to reach around 90°F, while Immokalee may see highs of 93°F.

Rain chances vary across the region, with areas like Palmdale seeing a 74% chance of rain and Miami facing a 43% likelihood. Residents are urged to take precautions, as the combination of high temperatures and storms could impact daily activities.

As the advisory continues, it is recommended to limit outdoor exposure and drink plenty of water to avoid heat-related illnesses.
