Miami, FL – South Florida residents face extreme heat Friday with a heat advisory in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Miami-Dade, Broward, and Collier counties. Temperatures will hit 90°F, but the heat index could soar to a dangerous 110°F. Residents are urged to stay indoors, limit outdoor activities, and drink plenty of water.

According to the National Weather Service, isolated thunderstorms may bring relief to inland and Gulf Coast areas by the afternoon, with rain chances at 52%. Showers could provide temporary cooling, but the heat will persist through the weekend, with similar conditions forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

Looking ahead, Monday shows a 35% chance of rain with slightly lower heat indices. Keep hydrated and take precautions to avoid heat exhaustion. By Thursday, rain chances increase to 45%, which may offer cooler conditions later in the week.

Stay updated with local weather alerts and prepare for fluctuating conditions by carrying water and seeking air-conditioned areas during peak heat hours.
