Austin, TX – Scattered showers and isolated storms are expected to continue across South Central Texas today, with pockets of heavy rain possible in some areas. The National Weather Service in Austin-San Antonio has indicated that these weather patterns will persist through Monday morning, particularly in the Hill Country region.

According to the National Weather Service, the temperatures today will be below average, but typical summer heat is set to return by midweek. Residents can expect highs in the upper 80s to low 90s today, with isolated thunderstorms possibly bringing relief from the heat.

The forecast for the rest of the week shows a gradual increase in temperatures. By Monday, highs will reach the mid-90s, with minimal impacts expected. Tuesday through Friday will see temperatures consistently in the mid to high 90s, with mostly sunny skies and little to no precipitation. The lows will hover in the mid-70s each night, offering some respite from the daytime heat.

As the week progresses, the chance of showers diminishes, and the region will experience more typical summer conditions. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the heat. The weather hazards for the week are low to moderate, with elevated risks primarily from the heat.
