Wichita, KS – Patchy fog is expected to develop this morning across south-central Kansas, potentially reducing visibility for early commuters. Forecasters predict the fog will dissipate by late morning, making way for mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures reaching 58 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, winds out of the south will reach speeds of 10 to 14 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph, adding to the breezy conditions. Drivers along I-35 and nearby highways should remain cautious during the early hours due to limited visibility in some areas.
Tonight, temperatures will drop to the upper 30s under partly cloudy skies, while winds will shift to a lighter southwest flow. Monday will bring decreasing cloud cover, with sunny skies returning by the afternoon. Highs are expected to reach 53 degrees, though gusty north winds up to 20 mph may create a chill.
Looking ahead, a cool trend continues through midweek. Tuesday and Wednesday will see highs in the mid-40s, with clear skies prevailing. Overnight lows will hover in the 20s and 30s, requiring heavier coats for the evening commute.
No hazardous weather is anticipated through Saturday, though forecasters warn of patchy fog on several mornings. By the end of the week, highs will climb into the low 50s, making for a pleasant weekend. Stay updated with changing weather conditions and monitor visibility during morning drives.
