Columbia, SC – A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect across central South Carolina today, with wind gusts reaching up to 35 mph. Residents are urged to exercise caution, especially around lakes where hazardous conditions could affect small watercraft.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory remains in place from 11 a.m. until midnight. Winds will pick up throughout the afternoon as a dry cold front moves into the region, creating challenging conditions for outdoor activities.
