South Bend, IN – South Bend Police were dispatched to the area of Ironwood and Oak Park Drives on Tuesday around 3 p.m. after a report of a suspicious device near the tree lawn. The discovery prompted immediate action from law enforcement and the South Bend Police Department’s Bomb Squad.

According to the South Bend Police Department, the Bomb Squad arrived on the scene shortly after the initial report, and traffic in the surrounding area was restricted to ensure public safety. The team meticulously examined the suspicious item to determine any potential threat.
