Montague, CA – Authorities in Siskiyou County are asking for the public’s help today in locating a missing 14-year-old last seen in Montague earlier this week.
According to the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, the teen was last seen Monday, April 27, 2026, at approximately 6:00 a.m. at a residence in Montague, a small community in Siskiyou County near the Oregon border and north of Redding. Deputies say the juvenile left the home in a red Toyota Yaris with an unknown license plate.
The teen is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Officials noted the juvenile may be carrying a black backpack, though clothing at the time remains unknown.
Investigators say the teen’s current whereabouts are unknown, but they believe the juvenile could be in the Weed, Dunsmuir, or greater Redding areas. According to authorities, the teen was also reportedly seen at a pizza restaurant in Dunsmuir at an unknown time on Monday.
Officials added the juvenile is considered a habitual runaway and may be with a girlfriend. Despite that designation, deputies emphasize the importance of locating the teen quickly to ensure safety.
