Dover, DE – A 28-year-old woman from Dover died early this morning in a single-car crash on Hazlettville Road. She was driving westbound when her Mazda CX5 failed to navigate a curve, left the road, and struck a mailbox. The vehicle overturned and hit a tree before finally stopping after crashing into an unoccupied vehicle.
According to Delaware State Police, the crash occurred around 12:05 a.m. on the 3900 block of Hazlettville Road. Investigators report the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld until her family is notified.
