Shreveport, Louisiana – Outdoor burn bans remain in effect across much of the Four-State region due to ongoing drought conditions.
The National Weather Service in Shreveport reported Tuesday morning that counties and parishes across portions of Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma continue to enforce burn restrictions. Officials noted that new burn bans are being enacted frequently, and the map provided may not reflect the most recent local updates.
Outdoor burning is either strictly prohibited or significantly limited in affected areas. Authorities emphasize that burn bans are issued and enforced at the local and state levels.
Residents are urged to check with their parish, county or state officials for the most current burn ban status and any additional fire safety restrictions in their area.
With dry vegetation and gusty conditions at times, fire officials warn that even small outdoor fires can spread rapidly.
For rural residents, landowners and agricultural workers, compliance with burn bans is critical to reducing wildfire risk during extended dry periods.
Additional updates are expected as drought conditions evolve across the region.
