Champaign, IL – A 32-year-old man died following an early morning shooting Thursday in the 1900 block of W. Bradley Avenue, according to police in Champaign.
According to the Champaign Police Department, officers responded to the area around 12:36 a.m. after multiple 911 calls reported gunfire. A short time later, the man arrived at a local hospital by personal transport in critical condition. He was rushed into surgery but later died from his injuries.
Investigators believe the man was outside of a business when several shots were fired. Authorities allege the shooter or shooters fled the scene immediately. Several vehicles in the area were also reportedly damaged in the gunfire.
