Sheridan County, MT – A blizzard warning remains in effect for Sheridan County, including the cities of Plentywood and Medicine Lake, until 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Glasgow.
The storm is bringing dangerous conditions with wind gusts reaching up to 50 mph, reducing visibility to less than 1/4 mile due to blowing snow. Officials warn that whiteout conditions could make travel nearly impossible and potentially life-threatening. Morning commutes are expected to be hazardous, and gusty winds may lead to falling tree branches.
Residents are advised to restrict travel to emergencies only and carry a winter survival kit if travel is unavoidable. Those stranded should stay with their vehicle for safety.
For updated road conditions, residents can call 511.
