Severe Weather Alerts: Tropical Cyclone Could Impact Birmingham by Midweek

Birmingham, AL – While Birmingham experiences warm, clear skies today, the weather could change by midweek. Currently at 63°F, temperatures will climb to a high of 88°F by this afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued advisories for Potential Tropical Cyclone Six, which may impact parts of the Southeast later this week. Expected to intensify into Tropical Storm Francine, it could bring heavy rain to Birmingham by Wednesday or Thursday.

According to NWS Birmingham, while Monday and Tuesday remain hot and mostly sunny, rain chances increase by Wednesday. Showers are expected Thursday and Friday, with a 70% and 50% chance of precipitation, respectively. Temperatures will dip slightly to the 70s during this stormy period.

Residents should monitor updates, especially as Tropical Cyclone Six moves closer to the region. The system may cause hazardous conditions and increased rainfall.
