Little Rock, AR – Severe weather is expected to strike parts of Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, Georgia, and Alabama starting at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The National Weather Service has issued a warning for potentially dangerous conditions, including severe winds and large hail.
According to the National Weather Service, the greatest risks for hail and winds will be in the areas of Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and parts of Missouri and Alabama, including cities like Little Rock, Memphis, and Birmingham. The threat will likely continue throughout the afternoon and into the evening, with conditions worsening as storms develop.
The National Storm Prediction Center has placed these regions under a “slight risk” for severe weather. Localized strong winds could reach up to 60 mph, while hail of 1-inch diameter or larger is also possible.
Residents are urged to stay weather aware throughout the day, with special attention needed for any severe thunderstorm warnings. The severe weather is expected to taper off late Thursday night.
