Green Bay, WI – Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to impact central Wisconsin through tonight, with potential rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2 inches. The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued an advisory warning residents of possible localized urban street flooding and low-lying area flooding.
According to the National Weather Service, two rounds of moderate to heavy rain are anticipated, the first ongoing Tuesday morning, with a second round expected Tuesday night. Rainfall totals will be highest across central Wisconsin, with some areas possibly exceeding 2 inches. Despite the significant rainfall, the risk of severe weather remains low.
Localized flooding in urban areas, isolated river flooding, and ponding on roadways are primary concerns. Drivers are urged to exercise caution, particularly in areas prone to flooding. Additionally, fast flows on area rivers may pose a hazard to those near water bodies.
