Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Will, DuPage, and Cook Counties

Willowbrook, IL – The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of northeastern Illinois, including Will, DuPage, and Cook counties, effective until 7:45 PM CDT Tuesday.

According to the Village of Willowbrook, radar detected a severe thunderstorm over Crest Hill at 7:14 PM, moving north at 35 mph with wind gusts up to 70 mph. The storm threatens significant tree damage and potential harm to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Areas impacted include Joliet, Naperville, and Downers Grove. Residents are advised to seek shelter and stay updated on weather conditions.
