According to the US National Weather Service in Green Bay, wind speeds could reach up to 60 mph, and nickel-sized hail is possible. The warning covers a region with a population of 29,229, impacting 15 schools and one hospital.
Residents in the affected areas, including the communities of Leopolis, Caroline, Marion, Big Falls, Belle Plaine, and Navarino, should be prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions. The National Weather Service advises staying indoors, avoiding windows, and being alert to any emergency warnings or instructions.
Severe thunderstorms can produce dangerous lightning, heavy rain, and localized flooding. If you are driving, be cautious of reduced visibility and hydroplaning. Secure any outdoor objects that could become projectiles in high winds.
