Schaumburg residents are reminded that brush collection will begin Monday, April 21st, and will continue through the spring and summer months. This service is available to single-family homes, with residents encouraged to place their brush at the curb by 7 a.m. on their scheduled pickup date.

According to the Village of Schaumburg, the program requires residents to adhere to specific guidelines. Brush must be from trees or bushes, no larger than 8 inches in diameter, and should be stacked with cut ends facing the curb. Firewood, construction debris, and contractor-generated waste will not be collected.

The pickup schedule is divided by color-coded zones. For the week of April 21st, those in the designated green zone will have their brush collected, while other areas of the village are scheduled for pickup later in the season. Residents can check their specific collection date by using the village’s interactive map at Schaumburg.com/Brush.

Brush collection dates will also take place through May, with additional pickups scheduled in the summer and fall. Dates for the upcoming weeks include Monday, April 28th and Monday, May 5th. A full schedule, along with preparation guidelines, is available on the village’s website.
