San Antonio, TX – South-Central Texas will remain under a Heat Advisory through Thursday as temperatures continue to soar. The National Weather Service forecasts highs in the 100s across the region, with minimal chances for rain. Isolated showers and thunderstorms may occur early, but most areas will stay dry.

According to the National Weather Service in Austin-San Antonio, the warm conditions this evening come with only a 10-20% chance of rainfall. Showers, if they develop, will be limited to the Hill Country and areas near San Antonio. The heat will not relent, with temperatures expected to stay above average until the weekend.

Residents should take precautions against heat-related illnesses, especially by staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged outdoor exposure. The advisory urges checking on elderly neighbors, ensuring pets and children are never left in vehicles, and taking frequent breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas.

Temperatures are expected to gradually decline by the weekend, approaching more typical seasonal levels by early next week. Nonetheless, isolated showers could return by Monday, primarily affecting the Coastal Plains. Until then, residents should remain cautious as the intense heat continues.
