Salem Lakes, WI – A Kenosha County man was arrested this week after investigators linked him to multiple cyber tips alleging the distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) over the past year, authorities said Thursday.

According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), the investigation began on October 17, 2024, when Kenosha Police received a cyber tip reporting that the individual was allegedly sharing CSAM via WhatsApp. After determining the suspect had moved to the Village of Salem Lakes, the case was transferred to the sheriff’s office.

Detectives later received several additional cyber tips, including reports on January 31, April 20, June 4, and August 3, 2025, all alleging repeated CSAM uploads across platforms such as WhatsApp and Snapchat, according to KCSO.

On November 12, 2025, deputies located the suspect during a traffic stop and took him into custody without incident. The sheriff’s office said a search warrant executed the next day at his residence turned up multiple electronic devices, a personal-use amount of marijuana, and related paraphernalia.

According to investigators, the man is being held in the Kenosha County Jail on 10 counts of possession of child pornography. KCSO also confirmed he has an active felony warrant out of Arizona for larceny and a probation/parole violation. Immigration officials additionally determined he is in the United States illegally, and an ICE detainer has been issued.

Sheriff David Zoerner said the arrest reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to protecting children and maintaining strong partnerships with ICE and other law-enforcement agencies.
