Rockford, IL – Overnight House Fire on Oakwood Avenue, No Injuries Reported

Rockford, IL – Rockford fire department firefighters were called to a significant blaze at a home on Oakwood Avenue in the early hours of Tuesday morning. 

According to the Rockford Fire Department, the call came in at 2:17 am for a reported residential fire on the 200 block of Oakwood Avenue. The first crews to arrive at the scene encountered a working fire, with visible smoke and flames emanating from the first floor of the residence. Thanks to the rapid response and efforts of the firefighters, the fire was brought under control in approximately 20 minutes. 

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in connection with the fire. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation to determine what sparked the overnight incident.
