Rockford, IL – An early morning fire on the 4200 block of Florida Drive displaced three adults and two children.
According to the Rockford Fire Department, firefighters responded to the blaze at 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday. Engine 11 arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire, with smoke and flames visible from a third-floor apartment. Crews quickly deployed hand lines to extinguish the fire, successfully containing it to two apartment units.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
