Bradley, IL – A key stretch of Blatt Boulevard is scheduled to close at Kennedy Drive for storm drainage work beginning Tuesday, May 26, affecting local traffic patterns for more than two weeks.
According to the Bradley Police Department, Blatt Blvd will be fully closed for two days starting Tuesday to allow crews to begin critical infrastructure improvements. After the initial full closure, the road will reopen to one-lane traffic for an estimated two-week period as construction continues.
Access to residences and businesses in the area will be maintained via Fairview Drive by way of Division Street or Riverlane Drive, authorities confirmed in their alert issued Thursday morning.
Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes during the closure and expect minor delays due to narrowed lanes and redirected traffic.
The storm drainage project aims to improve flood management and street drainage in the area. No further details have been provided on project costs or contractor information.
Motorists are urged to follow posted detours and use caution near construction zones for the safety of both workers and the public.
