Rensselaer Police Arrest Local Man for Alleged Methamphetamine Sale

Rensselaer, IN – A Rensselaer man was arrested after allegedly attempting to sell methamphetamine at local businesses on Wednesday.

According to the Rensselaer Police Department, officers responded to two calls reporting a man attempting to sell narcotics. The first call came from the 700 block of N. McKinley, but the suspect had left the area by the time officers arrived. The second call came from a business on N. Cullen, where the man was reportedly asking customers if they wanted to buy methamphetamine.

Officers located and arrested 34-year-old Franklin Howze. He admitted to possessing methamphetamine, which was found in his socks. Howze faces charges of dealing and possession of methamphetamine.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
