Raleigh, NC Weather: Sunshine and Cool Breezes Hold Through Tuesday Night

Raleigh, N.C. – Central North Carolina continues to enjoy a stretch of dry, comfortable weather Tuesday, with partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures topping out near 80 degrees. Commuters across the Triangle can expect smooth travel conditions, with no rain and only light northeast winds.

According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, highs will reach the upper 70s to lower 80s in cities such as Durham, Chapel Hill, and Greensboro. The dry air and low humidity will make conditions feel cooler than a typical early September day. Raleigh is expected to hit 80 degrees by midafternoon before dropping back into the upper 50s overnight.

Farther south, Fayetteville and Rocky Mount will climb into the low 80s, while Burlington and Winston-Salem remain a bit cooler in the upper 70s. With clear skies at night, residents should expect refreshing mornings with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

The calm stretch won’t last all week. Forecasters expect a gradual warming trend beginning Wednesday, with highs pushing into the mid-80s, and climbing toward 90 by Friday. No significant rainfall is projected through the weekend, but warmer afternoons will return.
