Raleigh, NC – The National Weather Service in Raleigh reports that North Carolina will enjoy a dry and seasonably cool weekend before a shift to cooler and wetter weather begins early next week.
According to the latest forecast, Saturday and Sunday will bring mostly sunny skies with highs around 64–68°F across the Triangle and Piedmont regions. By Monday morning, rain chances will increase to 40–45%, expanding statewide through Tuesday and Wednesday as a weak front moves in from the west.
Rain is expected to be light to moderate, with the highest chances focused across central and eastern North Carolina, including Raleigh, Fayetteville, and Rocky Mount.
Temperatures will trend cooler through midweek, dropping well below seasonal averages. Highs will fall into the mid-50s by Tuesday, with overnight lows in the 40s.
Forecasters say no severe weather is expected, but residents should prepare for damp commutes and breezy afternoons by Monday night.
