Columbia, SC – The National Weather Service in Columbia reports that cooler, dry conditions will continue across central South Carolina and parts of eastern Georgia this weekend as high pressure builds over the Mid-Atlantic.
Forecasters expect highs today around 68–73°F, with Columbia near 70°F, Augusta around 73°F, and Cheraw near 68°F. Skies will remain mostly to partly sunny through the afternoon before clouds increase overnight, signaling a gradual transition to more unsettled conditions early next week.
Despite the increase in cloud cover, no rainfall is expected, and the air will remain comfortably cool and dry. Tonight’s lows will fall into the upper 40s to low 50s, providing a crisp, fall-like evening across the Midlands and surrounding areas.
The NWS notes that Sunday will bring similar weather — dry and mild — before rain chances return in the early workweek forecast.
