Harrisburg, PA – A warm front is expected to sweep through the Mid-Atlantic on Sunday, bringing rain to the region.

The U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center reported Saturday that temperatures will rise significantly as moisture from the south moves into the area. Rainfall is predicted to begin late Sunday and persist into Monday. Areas including Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware are likely to see up to an inch of rain.

According to the NWS, river levels are not expected to reach flood thresholds, although some streams may rise slightly. Snowmelt from the recent cold spell could add to water levels in higher elevations, but the NWS emphasized that flooding remains unlikely.

Residents are advised to monitor local weather updates, particularly for potential travel disruptions caused by wet roads. This warmup offers a brief reprieve from the colder temperatures of the past week.
