Charleston, WV – High temperatures and dry conditions will persist in Charleston today, with the next chance for rain arriving by Friday afternoon. Residents can expect clear skies and warm air throughout the day. Temperatures will reach the low to mid-80s across the lowlands, while mountain areas will see temperatures in the 60s and 70s.

According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, a disturbance paired with a cold front is expected to bring rain from Friday through Saturday. Winds will remain light today, but fire weather concerns could emerge due to low humidity levels. Most areas will see humidity in the 20-30% range, making outdoor activities prone to increased fire risks.

The forecast calls for clear skies on Thursday, with temperatures rising into the mid-80s, followed by a slight drop into the low 70s on Saturday as rain moves in. The weather will cool further into Sunday, with highs reaching only 70°F, offering a relief from the heat.
