Portland, OR – Clear skies and calm winds will set the stage for another round of widespread frost tonight across portions of northwest Oregon and southwest Washington, according to the National Weather Service in Portland.

A Frost Advisory is in effect from midnight through 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2025, covering the Lower Columbia River region, Tualatin Valley, Benton County lowlands, Cascade foothills of Marion and Linn Counties, and the Inner Vancouver Metro and North Clark County lowlands.

Forecasters warn that overnight lows could dip into the low 30s, potentially damaging or killing sensitive plants left uncovered. Residents are urged to move potted plants indoors or cover outdoor vegetation with lightweight blankets or fabric for insulation.

The weather service notes that frost formation will be widespread under clear skies and light winds, especially in rural and low-lying areas where cold air tends to settle.

Temperatures are expected to rebound by late morning, with sunshine returning through the afternoon.
