PITTSBURGH — The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (WPC), a regional organization focusing on environmental sustainability, will host a trivia night fundraiser at Monday’s Brewing Company in Greenfield on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $25 each and include one drink. $20 of each ticket supports WPC’s watershed conservation program. Prizes will be provided by Patagonia Pittsburgh and the WPC for winning teams.

The event, created in partnership with Drew’s Clues and the WPC’s Emerging Leaders Advisory Committee, allows participants to form a team of five at the venue or bring in their own team.

The watershed program focuses on improving regional water quality through streambank restorations, in-stream habitat work, riparian plantings, and soil bioengineering. These projects help ensure that area waterways remain healthy for recreation and as sources of drinking water.

The organization works with business owners, government agencies, and private landowners to promote environmental stewardship and provide educational programming. The WPC also maintains the Fallingwater Institute, the organization’s most recognized site.

Fallingwater, a national landmark, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and home museum designed by Frank Wright, is open for public tours. Staff strongly encourage visitors to purchase tickets to guided tours in advance.

“The Conservancy’s watershed conservation staff has extensive experience and expertise with overall construction-project management, including permitting, working with contractors, project design and direct implementation of watershed restoration projects,” WPC officials said in a statement.
