Puyallup, WA – The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help as detectives continue investigating a violent assault that left a man in critical condition earlier this month.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, the assault occurred on Saturday, July 4, 2026, between approximately 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. near Building 3 of the Deer Creek Apartments in the 11200 block of 112th Street East in Puyallup.
Investigators said the male victim entered the apartment complex from 112th Street East before being followed on foot by two unknown suspects. Authorities allege the suspects violently assaulted the victim near Building 3 and left him on the sidewalk.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives are now seeking surveillance footage, doorbell camera recordings, and dashcam video that may show vehicles or individuals traveling through the Deer Creek Apartments area during the time of the assault. Investigators emphasized that even footage that does not capture the attack itself may contain important evidence, including images of the suspects or vehicles connected to the case.
Anyone with information about the assault or who has relevant video is encouraged to contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office or submit evidence through the agency’s online evidence portal.
The investigation remains active, and authorities have not released descriptions of the suspects or announced any arrests.
