Philadelphia, Pa. – Heat and humidity are making a comeback across eastern Pennsylvania this week, with the steamiest conditions expected by midweek. Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 80s and low 90s through Thursday, paired with rising humidity levels that could make it feel even hotter.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, unsettled weather is likely to arrive Wednesday, bringing a 60% chance of thunderstorms during the day and a 50% chance at night. Thursday will remain muggy, with scattered storms in the afternoon before drier air moves in. Some storms could bring brief downpours and gusty winds, potentially affecting evening commutes.

Commuters and outdoor workers should stay hydrated and monitor the sky, especially Wednesday and Thursday. Light morning breezes Monday and Tuesday will offer little relief, and warm overnight lows in the 60s and 70s will limit cooling opportunities indoors without air conditioning.

By Friday, conditions are expected to turn sunny and less humid, with highs in the mid-80s and cooler nighttime temperatures. Additional advisories may be issued midweek if storms intensify.
