Philadelphia, PA – Dense fog is blanketing Philadelphia and surrounding areas this morning, prompting a National Weather Service advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution while traveling, especially during rush hour. Reduced visibility could make roads hazardous.
According to the National Weather Service, the fog rolled in early Thursday, significantly reducing visibility in parts of the city, including along major routes like I-95 and I-76. Travelers should allow extra time for their morning commute and use low-beam headlights.
Fortunately, the dense fog will clear by mid-morning, giving way to partly sunny skies. The rest of the day should see a high of 83°F. Looking ahead, Philadelphia can expect warm and sunny weather for the weekend, with highs in the mid-80s on Saturday and Sunday.
