A short time later, police were notified that a 26-year-old woman had arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Investigators later determined the woman was inside a vehicle when she was shot at the intersection of West Brotherson Street and South Charton Avenue.

Police said the woman’s injuries are non-life-threatening.

As of Sunday morning, no suspect information has been released. Authorities say the shooting remains under active investigation, and detectives are working to determine what led up to the gunfire.
