Peoria, IL – Starting Monday, October 21, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will implement overnight closures on I-474 near the Airport Road interchange (exit 5). The closures will last for three consecutive nights.

According to IDOT, these closures are necessary to install steel beams on the new Airport Road bridge over I-474. The closures will take place during overnight hours to minimize disruption to daytime traffic.

Drivers should plan alternative routes or allow extra travel time during this period. IDOT advises checking traffic updates to stay informed. The project is part of ongoing efforts to improve local infrastructure.

For further details and updates, visit IDOT’s official website or contact local authorities for road work information.
